HANDSOME PRIZES * ANOTHER SPECIAL FEATURE WILL BE THE AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS' PAGE The *roprietors of the " Canterbury Times" are desirous of extending support to the work of amateur photographers of the Dominion, and they intend to allot a certain portion of the illustrative space of tho popular weekly magazine for the reproduction of photographs taken by amateurs. The photographs must be on P.O.P. or Glossy Bromide Paper, and they must bo sharp and bright, and with detail well established. "Ehe ordinary sizes frcm quartor-pkte upwards will be acceptc-d, and the subjects may be of almost any kind, such, for instance, as land end seascapes, town and country incidents, figure studies, agricultural, pastoral and bush scenes, yachting and boating views, and novelties and originalities in photography. In fact, the choice of subject wiJl be left to photographers themselves. The photographs must not previously have been published. Half-plates and full plates arc the best sizes for reproduction purposes. Prints should be sent in flat and not rolled. Particulars of the subject and the name and address of the taker should be written on the back of each print in pencil. Some of the best photographs will be chosen for reproduction in the Christmas number of the "Canterbury Times," and will be PAID FOR AT SFECIAL RATES AH other accepted photographs will bo PAID FOR AT CURRENT RATES The Genera!
