THE AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS' PAGE The Proprietors of the "Canterbury Times" are desirous of extending support to the work of amateur photographers of the Dominion, and they intend to allot a certain portion of the illos« trative space of the. popular weakly magazine for the reproduction of photographs taken by amateurs. The photographs must be on P.O.P. or Glossy Bromide Paper, and they must bo ■harp and bright, and with detail well established. The ordinary sizes from quarter-plate up-. wards will be accepted,.and the subjects may be of almost any kind, such, for instance, as land and seascapes, town and country incidents, figure studies, agricultural, pastoral and bush scenes, yachting and boating views, and novelties and originalities in photography. In fact, the choice of subject wi3l be left to photographers themselves. The photographs must not previously have been published. Half-plates and full plates auje the best sizes for reproduction purposes. Prints should be sent in flat and not roUed. Particulars of the subject and the name and address of ' the taker should be written on the back of each print in pencil.
