BOY SCOUTS.

THE DOMINION COUNCIL. The first meeting of the new Dominion Council was held in the Boys' Gordon Hall last night; present—Lieuten-ant-Colonel Cossgrove (in the chair), Colonel Creswell, V.D., Major Fenwick, Captain Inglis, Mr Goodman, H.S'.W. Quartermaster Douglass and Headquarters Secretary W. H. Babeock. As a number of members were unable to attend, tho _ main business of the meeting was adjourned till next Friday evening. The names of a number of influential gentlemen were proposed as members of the Council, and the secretary was instructed to* write and ask them to join the Council and to attend a meeting to elect the Dominion Executive noxt Friday. It was stated that the Council would meet annually to elect the executive and make recommendations for the good of the movement. Arrangements were made for General Sir R. S. S. Baden-Powells visit on May 31. He.will be met at the station bv the chief officers and driven to the Canterbury Club. Ho will meet the Dominion Council at tho Gordon Hall at 11 o'clock, lunch there with all Scout officers at 12, be driven around the city from 1 to 2 p.m., and then attend the Scout inspection and display. Later he will inspect the Girls' Peace Scouts at Bishopscourt.
