THE POLITICAL SITUATION.
THE MEMBER FOR NELSON. [Per Press Association.] NELSON, February 26. An interesting visitor arrived in Nelson on Friday. He seems to have had tho interest of the Government very much at heart, and interviewed members of Mr Atmore’s committee, pointing out the advisableness of Mr Atmore voting for tlie Government. Several members wired to Mr Atmore, urging him to vote for the Government, but have since regretted it. Mr Atmore did not pledge himself in bis election campaign, and may be depended upon to vote on the merits of tlie motion.
NELSON, February 26.
The Waterside Workers’ Union tonight resolved to. telegraph to Mr Atmoro urging him to support the Ward Government on the no-confidence motion.
