At San Francisco Ralph Rose broke the world’s record for putting the shot by a 50ft Sin throw.

TWO VICTORIAN RECORDS , BROKEN. MELBOURNE, February 26. At the championship meeting of the Victorian Amateur Athletic Association, held at St Kilda on Saturday 7, Brake, in the polo vault, did 10ft 6in and J. L. Davies ran 120yds over hurdles in 15 3-ssec, both being new Victorian records.

[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, February,26. A. Postlo, who is to meet J. Donaldson over three distances, 75yds, 150yds and 200yds, at the St Patrick s Uny sports on the domain on March 16, arrived in Auckland by the Maheno yesterday. After his engagement here Postle intends to tour the dominion.
