FEDERATED ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND.
A quarterly meeting of the National Federated Beekeepers’ Association of New Zealand was held last Friday evening in the Trades Hall. Tho correspondence dealt with included letters from different merchants inquiring for guaranteed white clover honey both for the export trade and the local markets,; also from tho "Waikato and Southland Associations suggesting different methods for building up the export trade in honey; from Kaitawa, asking for information regarding joining the Federation; from the Department of Agriculture and the Director of Apiaries, acknowledging receipt of the copy of a pamphlet entitled “The Food Value of Honey,” bv Dr C. C. Alillar, and stating that the Department would consider printing copies for free distribution.
Information was received from the Department concerning the jxissibilities of exporting honey to British Columbia and with regard to the supply of patent jars and pots for containing honey for the local trade. After some consideration it was resolved that the different suggestions with regard to exporting should be circulated amongst the various Associations. so that their representatives might be prepared to decide on a scheme after discussing the matter at a conference to he held at the close of the present season.
An account for Gs was passed for payment, and the receipts were £1 Gs
