It is rumoured i n Now Plymouth that Sir John Findlay will ho asked to oppose Air H. J. H. Okey 'for tho Taranaki scat. Mr O. W. llusscll, M.P., invites his friends and supporters to meet him in tho Pliillinstown Schoolroom on Monday at 8 p.m. A special invitation is extended to ladies.

Ihe Opera House was packed and tiie speaker had a very good hearing. He severely criticised tho AVard Government and evolved a scheme lor reconciliation of capital and labour, based on the adaptation of principles of co-operation to circumstances approaching those of co-partnership with Hnnted liability, so that while capital should be safeguarded labour should participate m tho profits. Ho explained lus proposal at considerable length.
