Dr Endletberger returned to Wellington by the Mokoia last night. Mr G. Laurenson, M.P., arrived from Wellington yesterday morning. The Hon H. F. Wigrarn, M.L.C., left for Wellington by the Mokoia last night. Inspector Ivicly, who lias suffered from an attack of influenza, is spending a short time on sick leave on the West Coast.

Mr George Leonard Sandrey lias been appointed a member of the Ruapuna Domain Board in place of Mr Edward Taylor, resigned. Mr J. H. PollOck left by the ferry steadier for Wellington last night. Mr and Mrs D. K. M Kenzie left for the north by the same steamer. Mr T. Findlay, a well-known member of the Temuka Band, died on Tuesday morning. Deceased contracted a severe cold some time ago, which.brought on cancer on the lung. Mr FindTay was working at his trade until Saturday, when he was removed to the hospital.

Yesterday the Lyttelton Harbour Board appointed Captain G. F. Crawford to be second pilot at Lyttelton, subject to his passing the necessary examinations. Captain Hunter, the second pilot, has been promoted to be first pilot. Captain Crawford is a well-known master in the Union Steam Ship Company’s service.
