Warwickshire wins, and Kent comes second with 73.84 per cent, Middlesex 71.81 per cent, Lancashire 62, Surrey, 60.66, then Essex, Yorkshire, Notts, Worcester, Northampton, Hampshire, Gloucester, Sussex, Derbyshire, Leicester and Somerset.

CANTERBURY THURSDAY

ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the Canterbury Thursday Cricket Association was held on Tuesday evening in Mr Simpson’s rooms. Mr B. Edser occupied tho chair, and there was an attendance of fourteen delegates, representing twelve teams.

The report and balance-sheet were received and adopted, showing tho Association to have had tho most successful season since its formation. Tlio junior caps were presented to the Lyttelton A tc-am. winners of tho competition for 1910-11.

'Hie election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr C. Basonnd; secretary and treasurer, Mr L. A. Cusworth; auditors, Messrs L. Lewis and W. Simpson; delegate to the Canterbury Cricket Association, Mr C. Lafferty; competition committee Messrs H. Curtis, W. Simpson, L. Morgan, J. Martin and the honorary secretary'; sonior selector, Sir C. Lafferty; junior selector, Dir L. Morgan. The selection committee, and whether it should consist of one or three meriibers, raised a long discussion. Finally, by a majority of ono vote, it was decided to have a sole selector for each grade. It was decided that a letter should be sent to tho Canterbury Cricket Association in reference to tho way the Association’s deputation was treated in regard to Territorial parades, and that tlio Lyttelton Borough Council should bo written to regarding the bad state of the playing ground at the port. Tho secretary was instructed to procure a net for practice. A hearty voto of thanks was accorded to Dr Gow for afternoon tea provided during tho season. A sum of £5 5s was granted the secretary for liis past services to the Association.

ASHLEY .COUNTY ASSOCIATION. Tho annual meeting of tho Ashley County Cricket Association was held at Rangiora on Tuesday afternoon. Representatives from all the clubs_ affiliated were present and Mr W. T. Wilson prosided. Tho report stated that tho Association had had a satisfactory season’s play, Oxford winning the Senior Cup and Amberley the Junior. The balance-sheet showed receipts £l7 13s oil and a credit balance of £l2 Is. It was decided to alter the name of the Association to North Canterbury. Tho following were elected officers: —President, Mr C. B. Mason; vice-presidents, Messrs S. Gibbs, T. Burgin, G. H. Blackwell, R. Blunden, E. Feary, W. T. Wilson, J. Smith and G. B. Starky; secretary and treasurer, Mr F. GulliverCradwick; auditor, Mr C. I. Jennings. It was agreed to play the competitions as last year, with the East and West End divisions, with two half-days’ play for each match, and to change grounds each Saturday, and, should time permit, to play a third round. It was decided to commence tho first round on tho first Saturday in October, and not to play in Carnival week, Anniversary Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s week. Votes of thanks were accorded to the officers of the past season.

The annual meoting of the Springfield Cricket Club was held on Saturday, Mr G. Drummond in the chair. The balance-sheet, showing a credit balance of £1 Is lOd, was adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Air C. A. C. Hardy, M.P.; president. Air G. Rutherford; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs H. D. Carter, H. J. Potton, A. Turnbull, P. H. Johnson, J. Hogland, G. O. Rutherford and W. Cooper; captain, Air £'. D. Carter; vice-captain, Air 0. P. Smith; secretary and treasurer, Air T. Nimmo, jun.; committee, Messrs H. Starr, R. Gillandors, A. Dorman, J. Herbert, G. Drummond, E. Gillanders and J. Foster; selector, Air T. Nimmo, jun.; delegates to Alalvern Cricket Association, Alessrs T. Nimmo, jun., and AV. Frith. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, September 9. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the out-going officers and members and to the lady supporters of the club.
