Smith, tho bushman who was charged with tlio murder on June 2-5 of his mates M ake and Butler in the bush, was tried to-day. Tho Judge directed tho jury to find a verdict of not guilty, and committed Smith to an asylum. The evidence shewed that Smith was liable to epileptic storms.
