Dominion’s meteorologist's summary and forecast:—-The barometer lias risen everyTwliere, especially in tho south. Tho weather has been generally fine, but cloudy in the northernmost districts, and on the east coast of the North Island moderate to strong southeasterly winds have prevailed. Present indications are for increasing easterly winds northward of Kawliia and Castle Point, with hazy and unsettled conditions and rain in parts. Variable winds probable elsewhere, but principally from tho south-east, with fair weather. The barometer has a falling tendency in tho north, and is unsteady elsewhere. Mr F. L. Weoles's forocast for Canterbury is_ as follows:—Aloderate to strong easterly winds prevailing, and fine. A low pressure, which is approaching from tho north-west, should bring a change in about sixty hours, but' at present its intensity is indefinite.
