Surrey made 145 and 63, defeating Kent by ninS runs. Kent scored 107 and 92. For Surrey, Smith took thirteen wickets for 64, while in Surrey’s second innings Woolley*captured seven wickets for nine runs. Huish, Kent’s wicket-keeper, in the two innings, stumped nine men and caught one. (Received August 24, 10.50 p-.m.) LONDON, August 24.

The cricket championship positions are:—Warwickshire, Kent, Middlesex. Jessop has declined tho Marylebone Club’s invitation to join the team for Australia.

THE SCARBOROUGH FESTIVAL. LONDON, August 23.

The Scarborough cricket festival will include u three cloys’ match between the team that is going to Australia and Lord Londesborough’s eleven. The Advisory Committee has recommended that the question of playing one of the tests in the triangular contest next year at Birmingham should be referred to tho Imperial cricket conference.

The annual meeting of tho Kimberley Cricket Club was.held on Tuesday evening. Mr S. Reveley presided. It was decided to open the season on September 2.
