Mr Clifford Sifton, ex-Minister of tho Interior, campaigning in Ontario against reciprocity, denounced any entanglement with the United States, the sole aim of which would be the political absorption of Canada.

THE NAVY QUESTION.

A message from Ottawa states that the anti-Laurier sentiment in Quebec is increasing. The Nationalists are accusing him of departing from his pledges in establishing a Navy. The Premier is assuring the electors that the navy is under the full control of Canada, and will only be used when Canada gives her consent.
