HUNTING.

The annual meeting of tho Waimato Hunt Club was held on Saturday afternoon. There was a large attendance, Mr J. B. Bowker presiding. After the adoption of the report a discussion took place on tho future of the club, which tho Master considered serious, ill view of tho fact that the steeplechase meeting ■would have to be run without bookmakers, which would moan foregoing till© £SO profit made lust year. It wa3 decided that a committee should be set up to get debentures for money to purchase a piece of land valued at about £BOO, noar tho town. Mr Bowker was re-elected master and Mr L. Parkinson deputy-master; Messrs J. W. Freeman and F. J. White joint treasurers, and Mr J. Goldstone secretary. Messrs Wall, Sinclair, Atwill Harrison, W. 8011, C. Forbe3, A. H. Bowron, G. Balfour, M.
