DRUIDS’ GRAND LODGE.

ANNUAL SESSION. The annual session of the Grand Lodge of Druids, Canterbury district, was held in Christchurch on Thursday, when the following Grand Lodge officers were present:—G. president Brother Batley; vice-president Brother ! George; G. secretary Brother Walker; | G. treasurer Brother Jowsey and G. I hard Brother Ives. Representatives of the following Lodges wore also present: —Pioneer, Mope of St Albans, Mistletoe, Et.helbert, Lyttelton Hearts of Oak. Star of Anglesea, Perseverance, Hope of Amberley, Anchor, Ohoka, Timaru, Trafalgar, Ivy of Linwood, Star of Ashburt-on, Oak of Sydenham, Old Oak, Ellesmere. Olivo Branch, Lily of Richmond, Ivy, Success Ashburton, Bud of Hope and Queen of the Oak. Several visitors, including the vice-pre-sident of the No£i-h Island Grand Lodge, were present. In his annual address the president expressed regret that the numerical strength throughout the year had not been greater, but it was satisfactory to note that tlie finances had been good. He, also spoke of the pleasure that it would give members to see that the clearance act had been carried in the North Island, and the Lodges there had been thus brought into touch with the South Island Lociees. The time itas coining when it would be necessary to I have one Grand Lodge for the whole of the dominion.

T'ne Board of Management reported that the membershio was now 2i 15. an increase of 22, and the 'accumulated funds were £10,900 7s Gd, while the interest. earned had amounted to £023 16s gd. Several amendments to the rules were considered at length and adopted. The following officers wore elected:— President, Brother O. Ives: vice-pre-sident, Brother J. liurgess ; secretary, Brother T. Walker: bard, Brother Muchmore; hoard of management, Brothers Smith, Chappie. Papps, French. Talbot, Manhire. Bates and Hooker; judicial committee, Brothers Swinnorion, Hunter, Bates, Gledhil! and Luxton; auditors, Brothers Kennedv. Smith and Ycale.

The president was installed and then installed his officers.

Brother Batley received a present of a Past Grand's collar.
