UNION STEAM SHIP COMPANY. The Mararoa wall leave this evening for Wellington on the -arrival of the 7.40 p.m. train. Tho Koicmiko will sail to-day for Westport. After having been subjected to a good overhaul, tho Maitaa left early yesterday mdrnmg for Wellington. She will proceed to San Francisco from Wellington on Wednesday, a call being made at Auckland on the way north. The Fcderal-Houider-Shire steamer Surrey, which arrived yesterday from Auckland, has 1100 tens of general cargo from Wost of England ports to discharge hero. Mr W. A. Beasley, late third officer of the Arahura, has gone to Syduey, where ho will join the Makura. On completion of discharge of the Wellington portion of her cargo of oil the Strathendrick, now at Wellington, will proceed to Westport to fill her bunkers. She will afterwards visit Lyttelton and Dunedin.

The Fifeshire was to leave Liverpool on Saturday for Australian and New Zealand ports. The Union Steam Ship Company has decided to make another excursion to the Marlborough Sounds at Easter. The Mokoia wil leave Wellington on Thursday, April 13, and will return early on Tuesday morning, Aprii 18. The steamer Solingen, under charter to the Tyscr Line, will leave New York for Australian and New Zealand ports early this month.

The chartered steamer Cranloy, bound from Now York, is expected to leave Sydney in a few days for New Zealand. Her arrival may be looked forward to about the middle of this month.

Tho Tyscr Line steamer Nerehana left Liverpool on February 19 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Wakatu will sail this evening for Wellington via Kaikoura. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Waiwera left on Saturday evening for Gisborne. From Lyttelton she loaded frozen meat and wool for the Home market. She will sail finally for London from Wellington on Saturday. Tho Rangatira is due in Port Chalmers tomorrow from London. She has a large number of passengers and some cargo to land there.

The new Tyser Bteamer Muritai arrived from Bluff yesterday. She will load frozen meat and grain for London. It is reported that the steamer Knight oi 8t George, 4710 tons, has been chartered by the Australian Mail Line to load timber and feneral cargo at San Francisco for Auckand and Sydney.

The Hauroto. which is at present, on the reserve list at Pert Chalmers, will relieve the Tarawera in tho northward running on March Jt. to enable the Tarawera to be docked for *verhaul.
