FROM YESTERDAY’S NEWSPAPERS. . (By Telegraph.) IMPERIAL FEDERATION. It is as well to recognise that the ideal of Imperial Federation must be realised by a gradual and unforced process. Instead of an Imperial Cabinet the establishment of an advisory body somewhat differently constituted is probably more within the sphere of practical politics, and would perhaps more effectively meet the requirements of the present situation, and even this has vet to materialise.—“ Otago Daily Times.”
