(Received January 10, 11,30 p.m.) LONDON, January 10. The magisterial inquiries into the Sidney Street and Houndsditoh cases are likely to be protracted, many, witnesses speaking only Yiddish or Russian. Gershon gave evidence that Jacobs was a friend of her husband Fritz. Jacobs arrived at eleven at night and terrorised her into giving up a, bedroom. She was compelled to take her skirt and shoes off to prevent her leaving the house. •The officer commanding the fire brigade gave evidence that the police told him that Mr Winston Churchill had charge of operations. The cylinders found in the Sidney Street ruins are not bombs, but merely tubes used in button-making.
