MUNICIPAL MUSIC.

* 10 THE EDIIOB. Sir, —Mr P. Kinsman, secretary of thoTv'oolstbn Band, although'evading the points mentioned by Mr. H. E. Adamsj still attempts to infer that tli'e Woolston Band did not at any time favour the proposals of the, united bands. As "already stated by Mr Adams,, the band, through their dele« gate, Mr 11. J. Estall, did send a fav ourable reply. Subsequently the band took a vote on the question, and. nttha meeting of the band's committee .'Mr Kinsman informed the other delegates that the voting was equal. Mr Kins.. man then assisted in drafting the joint tender to the Council, and, after the draft was signed by the other secretaries, Mr Kinsman undertook to have it typewritten, and together with Mr S-. Bar.toti, his co-delegate, he assured the committee- that tjiey had every nope of their band consenting to Mr Kinsman signing the tender. Mr Barton has since resigned from the BanciA Committee on account of the action of his band, and expressed his approval of the efforts of nie committee. It is therefore: useless for Mr Kinsman to attempt to make the public believe that his hand has run straight.—l am, etc..
