ROTORUA, December 20. The National Provident Fund Board, the chairman of which is Sir Joseph Ward, Minister of Finance, has been established under the Act bv the appointment of Dr Hay (Inspector-Gene-ra 1 of Asylums), Mr J. W. Poynton (Secretary to the Treasury), Mr G. ¥. Campbell ,Land and Income Tax Commissioner) and Mr H. E. Hayes (Superintendent of the fund). The operalion of tlie fund will conunenoe as soon as the preliminary organisation work is completed, a considerable amount of which is entailed by a national scheme such as this. Sir Joseph Ward expect* to bo able to announce within, the next few weeks a definite date for commencing business.
