ROAD BOARDS.

RANGIORA. The Rangiora Road Board met on Friday ; present —Messrs F. Horrell (chairman), Leech, Dalziel and A. M'lntosh. The Telegraph Engineer wrote, that instructions had heen given to havo the telegraph poles by the Little Ashley set bade out of the way of traffic. A letter was read from the Public Works Department regarding the grant of £2OO towards the Tuahhvi Native reserve road. The clerk was asked to make?inquiries with, reference to the money collected by the Natives towards the work proposed to bo done. The chairman and Mr C. Leech were appointed to represent the Board at a meeting of the Local Bodies Association. Mr M. Sklaark's tender for dop collars was accented. The surveyor reported the accidental burning of a small footbridge on Dalziol's Road; also that Mr Thomas Miles had ploughed the side of the Cust Boundary Road without the authority of the Board. It wa* resolved to request him to put the road in order at once, and also to draw his attention to his having fenced the end of a road leading into-the river off the Mount Thomas Road. The receipts for the month were reported as £220 16s Id and the bank debit'balance was reported to be- £757 Is 4d. Accounts for £2ti. r > lis Id were passed for payment.
