In the primary schools competition on Saturday Richmond met Sydenham at Sydenham Perk, the latter winning. For the winners Harry (30), Hill (not out 21) and Jones (19) batted well. Harry bowled successfully. Webber (33) and Russell (22) batted v. ell for the losers, Rufscll and Gullick being their bowlers.. Waltham and Woolston met at Lancaster Park. Woolston in the first innings made 43 (.Reese (13). and "Waltham 161 (Clements 24. Tench 23, and Frame 68), Waltham winning by lIS runs. Marisfc Brothej-s defeated East Christchurch by 4o runs.
