SWAGGERS' TRAGIC DEATH. ADELAIDE, November 5. Tho bodies of two swaggers, Sehwarz and M'Pheo were found in the Northern Territory, the men having died fiom thirst. M'Phoe's body was eaten by wild dogs. SUPERPHOSPHATE WORKS. PERTH, November C. The Mount Lyell superphosphate works, north of Fremantlo, have been opened. They cost over £90.000 and are considered the most up-to-date in Australia. THE IRON INDUSTRY. MELBOURNE, November 6. Messrs M'Gowen. Holman and Beeby interviewed Mr Hughes and practically .stated the intention of the New South Wales Government to nationalise the I iron industry. They asked if the Coin- J monwealth would obtain railway material if they did so. Mr Hughes said that personally ho was favourable, and he would place the matter before the Cabinet, REFUSAL TO GIVE EVIDENCE.
