MISHAP IN A BAVARIAN FOREST. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON. November 4. The " Daily Graphic's " balloon, vhich left London on Wednesday for '\ussia, landed in a forest in Bavaria. After some difficulty the trees were felled and the five occupants descended safely.

A CROSS-CHANNEL FLIGHT. LONDON, November 5. Willons crossed the Channel in an airship from London. Ho landed at Douai. (Received November 6, 5.5 p.m.) PARIS, November 5. The Government is offering prizes of £50,000 in a competition in building aeroplanes capable of travelling 190 miles without a stop. The best will receive £4OOO, and an order will be given for ten similar aeroplanes at £IOOO apiece.

THE BALTIMORE CONTESTS. NEW YORK, November 5. General Agnus, a uewspaper proprietor at Baltimore, offers £SOO to tho first aviator reaching a height of 10,000 ft at the aviation meeting proceeding at Baltimore.
