Orippeu appealed against his conviction and sentence, contending that the identity of the corpse was not established and that the Crown's rebutting evidence was wrongly admitted. Mr Tobin K.C., counsel for Crippen, explained that tho return of his brief was a mistake, through a misunderstanding. Aftei Counsel had spoken for four and a half hours the appeal was dismissed.
