Church and chapel seatings accommodate 1,972,502. The Anglicans provide a church for every 1030 of tho population, and tho Non-conformists a chapel for every 450. The Commission declares that AA'alcs is ovor-churched and tho clergy arc underpaid. Onethird of the Congrcgationalist ministers receive under £SO a year. There are 195,000 Anglican communicants, being 23 per cent of all communicants. Tho report does not touch tho questions of disestablishment and disondowment.
