[From Our Corresi-oxbent.] GREYMOUTH, June 15. Tho Brunner Miners’ Union’, which some timo ago seceded, from tho New Zealand Minors’ Federation, has taken a ballot of its .members, with tho result that it has been decided to rejoin the Federation. Tho Cabinet has accepted a tender for tho now post office at Westport. In design it will bo somewhat similar to the Groymouth post office. Mr Tom Pollard has leased tho Opera House for a term, and it is his intention to bring here a number of up-to-date- companies, and to arrange for their appearance in tho various centres on tho Const and in the intervals to run a first-class picture entertainment when tho hall is not otherwise engaged. To-day the police raided a Chinese store, and secured a fair quantity of liquor. It is stated, that prosecutions will follow.
