CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE DELEGATES.

The Camber of Commerce are enjoying a quiet day inspecting ft;j> warehouses and factories of tho city:-To-rnorrow they will be the guests oJ the Jockey Club at Wingatui. On Thursday, when they will be joined by the section from the Lakes, they will be taken over the Mosgicl factories and for a drive, to Waitaia by the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce. Several proceeded to' Christchurch this morning.

THE VISIT TO CERISTCHURCH. The arrangements for tho ment of tho delegates in Christelmreh on Saturday are very complete, and there is li' *'■'• <i<>"ht that they will havo every faerie. at their disposal for seeing v«e .ujjuts." Tho members of the Canterbury Automobile Association are responding heartily to the invitation of tho chairman of the local Chamber to provide care for the outings arranged, and a few more oars are required. The luncheon to be given at the Piccartuu liaoecoim;e will be on a largo scale, and arrangements have been made to cater for 180 people, while it is estimated that about Slid will be present at the afternoon tea in the Public Gardens. Yesterday morning several members of the committee of the Chamber of Commerce visited tho archory lawn and rnado all the necessary arrangements for the tea, and they were ail agreed that the place wais one of tho best that could nave been chosen. The Domain Board readily accepted the suggestion that the Gardens should be used for the function, end the grounds are at this time of year looking at their best. Friday—A party of four, representing tho Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, will proceed by the first express to Stadholmo Junction to meet the delegates and escort them to Christchurch. 5.8 p.m.—Official welcome at Christchurch railway station. 8.30 p.m. . —lnformal gathering- of delegates in Chamber of Commerce Hall, Cathedral Square. Saturday—lo a.m.—Meet at Chamber of Commerce Hall. Cathedral Square. Motor tours to Kaiapoi (inspecting Woollen Mills), Maori pa. Woodend, Rangiora, etc. 12.30 p.m.— Arrive at Riccarton Racecourse for luncheon. 2 p.m.—Motor tours, Lincoln, Tai Tapu, Cash-mere and suburbs. 4 p.m.—Afternoon tea on archery lawn at Botanical Gardens. 7.40 p.m.— Train leaves Christchurch. railway station for Lytioltoii to connect with steamer Maori for Wellington.
