"PURSUANT to the provisions of the - 1 - Standing Orders of the House o£ Represervatives relating to Local Bills, the Chris'tchucrh Drainage Board hereby gives Public Notice that application will be made to the General Assembly of New Zen.la.nd now in Parlicmont assembled' for leave to introduce a BILL, to b? called " Tbo Christchurch District Drainage Act. 1909." The objects of the proposed l Bill arc to ALTER and EXTEND the district of the said Board by adding new areas to " the Avon Sub-district," "the Hcs'bcoto Subdistrict," " the Ricca-rton Sub-distriot " and " the Woolston Sub-district," . and by creating TWO NEW SUB-DISTRICT, to bo known respectively as " Halswcll Sub-dis-trict " and " Templcton Sub-district." The area of land proposed to be added to the Avon Sub-district is as follows: ALL that area commencing at the intersection of the centre of the North "load with the northern side of the 'urarekanui Stream (River Styx), thence north-easterly along tho centre of the North Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Rural Section 1463, thence north-east erly to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section, and along the north-western boundaries of Rural Sections .1463, 419, 589. 811 and 1527 to the northernmost corner of the lastmentioned section, thence in a straight line to the westernmost corner of Rural Section 1765. thenco north-oasterly along the north-western boundary of •Rural Sections 1765 and 1788 to the most corner of tho last-men-i-wnuu section, thence generally easterly along the southern s:de of Naldcr's Road and a line in continuation thereof to the north-eastern side of Purarekonui Stream (River Styx), thence south-easterly, southerly and southwesterly along the eastern side of tho said stream to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Rural Section 19571, thenco south-westerly along the eastern boundary of the said section to its southernmost corner, thence southwesterly ar.d southerly along the westtrn side of the Bottle Lake Road to a point on that road lying due east of tho intersection of tho centre of the North Road and the northern side of tho Purarckanui Stream (River Styx), and from thence returning due westerly along the northern boundary of the Avon District to the commencingPoint.
