THE LATE MR G. P. WILLIAMS.
THE FUNERAL. | The funeral of the late Mr G. P. J Williams took place yesterday at St! Peter’s Church, Riccarton. The burial! service was read by the Rev C. S. Bow- ! den. The bearers were Messrs O. T. • J. Alpers, H. S. Hobbs, J. O. Jamieson, J. Hurst Seager. J. C. Andersen! and W. Hunter, members of the committee of the Christchurch Savage Club, and among those present were:—Messrs F. H. Pyne, B. L. Lane, A. Boyle, R. H. Rhodes and G. B. Starky (representing the Canterbury Jockey Club), Messrs M. J. Dixon, J. M’Cormack and J. O’Halloran (representing the Waimakariri-Ashley Water Supply Board). A large number of members 1 of the Savage Club also followed in the cortege.
Wreaths were sent by the following:—Christchurch Savage Club, Wai-makariri-Ashley Water Supply Board, Canterbury College, Westport-Stocktoit Coal Company, Canterbury Jockey Club, Mr Justice Williams, the Hon H.| F. Wigram, Dr Jennings, Messrs J. DJ Hall, Cracroft Wilson, H. P. Murray-] Aynsley and J. O’B. Beckett, Mr andMrs F. H. Pyne, Mr and Mrs A. Boyle* and Mr and Mrs C. E. Cross.
