VITAL STATISTICS.
CHRISTCHURCH DISTRICT. Figures prepared by the Registrar of tlio Christchurch Registration District show that the number of births during April was forty more than tho number during the same month last year, and last year there was one more death than there has been this yoar. The deaths during the past month included four of persons over 80 years of age and two of persons over 90. The following are the figures for the months of April, 1908, and April, 1909:
