BOROUGH COUNCILS.
AKAROA. A fortnightly meeting of the Akaroa Borough Council was held on Wednesday; present—Councillors Newton (in the chair), Lewitt, Armstrong, Vangioni, Walker, Halliday and Roche. The wharfinger forwarded the sum of £4B 16s sd, being wharfage for the past quarter. Petroleum licenses' • were granted to Messrs Vangioni and Taylor, and a carrier’s license to Mr J. Kerridge. The financial statement showed that the receipts since the previous
meeting had been £62 15s Bd. Accounts wore passed for payment for £34 12s 6d, and Councillors Lewitt, Halliday and Walker were empowered to sign cheques:
