.Stork Cattle.—ln the store cattle pens there was a very large entry, the quality being fair throughout. As •ut the previous salo there was a very weak- demand, and sales wore difficult fo make, and several lines ,were passed. The yarding included a. largo number of. cattle from the south, prices as compared with the previous week showed no* improvement. ' For the best'kinds there was again a good demand, and prices ranged from £3 to £lO.

Fat vShebp.—The entry of fat sheep was again a large one, and the salo .opened at prices on a par with those ruling at last sale. A very large pro-' . portion of the entry .consisted of ewes, and as-the. sate proceeded the demand ..for-this description weakened and became- '• very irregujar, the market closing VftJi values lower than, those.riding previously.. "For the best class of; wethers tlierejwas a good demand, both fro.tti.butchers and exporters, and these fairly-;held their own, prices showing iio variation from" those ruling a week earlier. Fat Lambs.—The fat lambs penned totalled 6530. against 6780 at the previous sale, the yarding being of uniform good quality. The demand lacked much of the keenness which characterised the last sale, and for the heavier descriotions the prices realised showed a slight decline, while the lighter descriptions were .quitted at prices on-a par with those ruling a week Earlier. The weaker tone of the market was no doub.t due to the discouraging advices received from Home during the week. Of the yarding 5603 were taken bv freezers at prices ranging from 12s 6'd to 14s, a few heavier, pens piafeing to 14s lOd. Butchers secured 255 'at 12s to 16s, • while ' 642 were passed. Lambs sold at late rates, very forward lines making 10s to lis and backward sorts 7s 2d to 9s 6d. The wethers were mostly of a good class, and any forward lines, of which there were several pens, sold up to lato rates, the ruling price for very forward lots being lis to 12s Gd. " Low-coTidition half-bred wethers sold as low as Bs, and other classes brought prices on a par with those ruling at previous sales.
