The annual meeting of ratepayers of the Springs road district will be held at Spriugston at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. A lantern lecture will bo given m the Chain ber of Commerce Hall to-night. by the Rev F. H. Spencer, agent of the British and Foreign Bible Society. The subject will bo "The. Society s Work in South America." Tho annual general meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association will be held in the Pioneer Club's rooms this evening, at eight o'clock.
