The report of the Australian and New Zealand Mortgage Company for the year ended December 31 shows a loss for tho year of £11,360, making the total debit balance £82,797, which was carried forward. Wheat.—Two cargoes of South Australian wheat were placed at 42s 6d. The market is steadier at a decline. May wheat in Chicago fluctuated from 121 to 119$ cents, and July wheat 1083 to 105| cents. It is estimated that the wheat acreage in Canada is fully 20 per cent above that of last year. Wool.—For the coming London sales the arrivals to date are 377,646 bales,: of which 213,400 were forwarded direct to the manufacturers, leaving 177,500 available, including tie wool brought over from last sales. Copper.—On spot, £57 12s 6d per ton.; three months'. £SB 7s 6d per ton; electrolytic, £59 per ton. Tin On spot, £133 12s 6d per ton. Lead.—£l3 6s per ton. Silver.—2s lid per oz.
