Bates's weather' forecast to 3 p.m. to-day:—Easterly winds, moderate to strong, are probable north of New Plymouth and Napier, and' increasing northerly winds elsewhere. Barometer falling everywhere for a -change- in the weather. Rain is probable in the southernlnast districts and on the east coast north) of 'Napier. MR PAULIN'S FORECAST. Mr Paulin's prediction, telegraphed yesterday afternoon, is as follows: " Strong north, to north-west winds, and rain in about twenty-fonr hours. Shipping warned."
