Temperature at 5 p.m.—Dry bulb 49.4, wet btilb 40.8. Humidity per cent—B2. Maximum temperature in sun during day—--109. Wind—N.E. Cloud (0-10)—1. Barometer—Falling. GOVERNMENT METEOROLOGIST’S FORECAST. ■ • The following is the Rev D. C. Bates s weather forecast to 3 p.m. to-day:—• “ Moderate to strong south-oast winds are probable north of New Plymouth and Napier, and increasing northerly winds elsewhere. Barometer fall slowly north of New Plymouth and Napier, and more rapidly elsewhere after twelve hours. Fine weather probable generally.” MR PAULIN’S FORECAST. Mr Paulin’s prediction; telegraphed yesterday afternoon, is as follows: North-east to north-west winds, and fine for twenty-four hours. Barometer fall fast after twelve hours.
