PARISH MEETINGS.

ST JOHN’S, WINCHESTER! The annual meeting of parishioners of St John’s Church, Winchester, was held on Thursday evening, the vicar, the Rev J. M. Adcock, presiding. The churchwardens’ report stated that the services had been well maintained during the year, and there bad been an average attendance of fortyeight at each servico, and fifteen at Holy Communion. The report on the Sunday school, read by Miss Moore, superintendent, stated that there were sixtyseven pupils, the average attendance being fifty-seven, and seven teachers. The vicar had examined the school, with very pleasing results. The school account showed a credit balance of £3, The balance-sheet for the chnroh showed that flic receipts had been £9O 11s 3d, and there was a credit balance of £l7 17s 9d. The reports and balance-sheet were adopted. Officers were elected as follows: Vicar’s warden, Mr J- R- Orford; people’s warden, Mr John Philp; vestry, Messrs A. W. Ensor. L. B. Bartrop, J. W. Mooro, W. Stewart, H. E. Smith and R.. Smith, jun. Votes of thanks were passed to the lay readers, the organist and the choir, and to all who had assisted in any way during the year.
