A good deal of interest ia being token in the elections, particularly in the smaller districts. TO THE EDITOR. Sir -—The annual .election of School Committees is again close at hand, and it will be the duty of tho parents and householders in the various districts throughout tho dominion to elect suitable men to fill these positions of trust. Yet so far as one can see, there is a total lack of interest in the event. That this should be so is a matter of great regret, for there is nothing of greater importance than the proper management of the primary schools of this country. Wo are in tho enjoyment of a splendid system of education, which is the envy of many in other lands; yet we do not seem to appreciate these advantages as we ought, and I would beg of you to draw the attention, of paronts and householders to the necessity of electing good and suitable men to fill these offices on Monday night. Let every parent decide upon attending this annual meeting, and tako an interest in the selection of the men who have the care of our schools in their charge, and not leave it to a fo\y enthusiasts to do the work.—l am, etc., JAMES ,W. HUNTER.
