CURRENT NOTICES.

The annual meeting in connection with the Sydenham Public Library will be held this evening at eight o’clock. The Canterbury Horticultural Society will hold its Chrysanthemum Show in the Alexandra and Victoria Halls on May 4 and 5. \ During tho football season tbe Christchurch Football Club will hold training practices from 7 till 8 p.m. on Thursdays in King Edward Barracks. Mr B. C. Greenmail, a. visitor from Canada, will give an evangelistic address on “Tho Life and Times of Elisha,” at the Foresters’ Hall, Oxford Terraco, this evening at 7.30.
