LONDON, May 11
The Friendly Societies are asking Mr Asquith, in awarding the old ago pensions, not to take into account income received from Friendly Societies or Trades Unions. The opponents of the scheme declare that if the 10s limit is to be ignored for one form of thrift it must he ignored for others like the savings bank.
The executive of the United Irish League has issued a manifesto condemning Catholics who support Unionist candidates in the interests of Catholic schools, thereby abandoning tho cause of Ireland,
