In the Canterbury AsFociation's inter-chib eompetition Lin-wood defeated Rangiora on the latter's courts on Saturday by 72 games. The scores were:—Singles—Quill (L.) beat Cuff, 16-9; Gosa (L., beat Barton, IS-5; Borrows (L.) beat Van Asch, 18-3; Bonnington (L.) beat Garde, 18-3. Doubles—Quill and Goss (L.) beat Barton and Cuff, 18-9; Borrows and Bonnington (L.) beat Van Asch and Grrde 18-5. Totals—Linwcod 106, Rangiora, 34.
