THE SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP.

[Per Peess Association.] WANGANUI, February 17. The contestants for the sculling championship are still actively training. Bain and Ford, Tresidder's trainer and pacemaker, express themselves as still being very hopeful that their man will be the champion of the world next week. Tresidder himself looks bright and well, and is in wonderfully good condition for a man of his age. Several Australians who saw Webb row yesterday express astonishment at the improvement the New Zealander ' 1 s made since he rowed in Australia. They declare that his style is altogether dif-

ferent from that shown by him in tht match against Towns, and conforms much more to the ideas of Australian authoritfes than it did in Sydney.
