In th© match to-day the New Zealanders scored a goal and two tries and the Northern Union a goal and a try. There were 3000 spectator, and the weather was stormy. The Northerners pressed throughout the first half, scoring five points to nil. The final stages wer© fiercely contested, and the referee had to caution several players. The New Zealanders scored twice just before time was called.
