'UNION ROWING- CLUB. During the week ihe club has Towed its Trial Double- Sculls Kace, for t-ho life members' cup. The following are the results:— First boat: A. Diiggan (stroke) and W. M'llroy (bow) beat B. Miles (stroke) and F. "Cf. Johnston (bow) by a length. Second heat: H. Sheard (stroke) and F. Fiitlayson (bow) beat "W. O'Csilliighan (stroke) and H. Kinsman (bow). Sheard jumped away at the

start, -winning easily. Third heat: P. Allan (stroke) and W. Harrison (bow) beat "\\. H'llraith (stroke) : and C. Collins (bow) by two lengths. Semi-final: Ailan beat Sheard. Final: Allan and Harrison beat Dusgan and M'llroy. Allan jumped awcy at the start, and rowing a good length, won easily.
