Meeting of the said Council, held on Monday, tho 15th day of July, 1907, at 8.30 o’clock p.m.:— In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows: —That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of Sixty-six Thousand Four Hundred Pounds (£66,t00) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under tho above-mentioned Act for tho purpose of constructing Waterworks for the supply of pure water for tho use and benefit of tho inhabitants of Central Ward of the City of Christchurch, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a Special Bat* of FIFTY-FIVE ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHTHS OP A j PENNY in the £ upon, the ratable ■ value of all ratable property comprised I within the said Central Ward of tho said City of Christchurch, the boundaries of which said Ward are set out in the Supplement of the N.Z. “Gazette,” dated April Ist, 1903, page 884, and that such Special, Bate shall he an 1 annual recurring rat® during the curI renoy of suoh loan, and be payable i yearly on the Ist day of SEPTEMBER [ in each and every year during tho ; currency of suoh man, being a period of 23 years ox until the loan is fully paid off; And it is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the Christchurch City Council, to bo hold in the Council Chamber, situate hi Oxford Terrace, j Christchurch, on MONDAY, the 12th day of j AUGUST, 1907. at 7.30 o’clock p.m, for con- ' Urination .as a Special Order.
