SLY GROG-SELLING.
[Fn Pxiai Aixocia.ttow.l INVERCARGILL, July 18. - At the Magistrate’s Court to-day Mr M’Carthy, S.M., delivered his _ reserved judgment in the case against Jeremiah Hartnett, William Meikle and Martin Campbell, charged with assisting in the sale of liquor. _ Evidence was given that tho men visited sly grog-shops and purchased liquor. Tho Magistrate found that this constituted «n offence and fined each accused £2, with costs, in default a fortnight’s imprisonment.
