NOTICE is herebv given that at a Special Meeting of the New Brighton Council, held on the 17th day of June, 1907, a. Reaolution -was passed "That-, in pursuanco and oxercise of the powers lasted in it in that behalf by The Municipal Corporations Act, 19.00,' end "The. Local Bodies Leans Act. 1901,' and amendments thereto respectively, the New Brighton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest •nd other charges on a Loan of Eight Thouirand Pounds (£3000), authorised to be raised by tho New Brighton Borough Council under the provisions of " Tho Local Loans Act, 1201," for the carrying out of the following undertakings in the said Borough:—Providing Fire Brigade Plant and Buildings, and Wells and Tanks, Constructing Kerbmg and Channelling, Grading, Forming and Metalling Roads- and Footpaths, Improving Esplanade, Planting Marram Graw, B^ eoting River Banks North and South of ITaraway Bridge, Tarring Footpaths, tor Supervision and Contingencies, the said) New Brighton Borough Council hereby MAKES and LEVIES a SPECIAL HATE of ELEVEN PENCE (lid) in the £ upon the ratable valuation of all ratable property of the Borough of New Brighton, comprising all that area in the Canterbury Land DisIfcriot, situated iu tho Christchurch and. bumaer Survev Districts, bounded towards the north by tho road forming the northern boundaries of Rural Section No. 6856 and its continuation through Reserve© 1579 to and along the northern. boundary of Rural Sections Nos. 33181, 32376 and 17573, and its production to low-water mark of the sea; thence towards the north-east a.nd south-west by low-water mark of the. sea and low-water mark of the. estuary of the Heathcoto and Avon Rivers to a point in line with the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 11213, Christchurch Survey District; thence by the left bank of the Avon River to the) bridge on the Toad to New Brighton, near the westernmost corner of Reserve No. 3061; thenco by the road to New Brighton to its' junction with the North Avon Road to the Racecourse Read; and thence towards tho west by 'the said Racecourse Road, passing Sections Nos. 4665, 6385, 7196 and 6856, to the road forming tho northern boundary of the last-mentioned section aforesaid, including that portion of Section No. 460 to the eastward of the present channel of the Avon Biver; and that such Special Rate,shall be an ANNUAL RECURRING- RATE' during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly, on the let day of MAY and-the Ist day of NOVEMBER in each and every year during the currency of loan, being a period! of twenty years, or until tho loan is Jully paid off. .
