ROAD BOARDS.
MOUNT PEEL. The Mount Peel Road Board met ou November 16; present—Messrs -Dennistoun, Thew, Tripp anti Hawdon. The overseer reported that he had been over meet of the roads in the district, and had found 1 them in very good order. The Spur Road had been re-formed almost from end to end, and wa3 now in good 'order, and • would require very little work done to it idr .some time. The Haincliff-Clayton gang were at work on the Clayton-Meikleburn Road, lie had inspected the road to Mr Pigdtt s, and found It in a very bad state. Some ten chains required forming and shingling before winter, and ho recommended that the work should bo “ on ® by the Board’s gang as soon'as possible. The overseer’s suggestion was approved. The surveyor also reported that he had inspected tiro site for a foot or stock bridge at Saddle Creek,' and reported that the necessary piles and_ a portion of the timber required were m stock. Mr-Jones wrote drawing the Board’s attention to the state of the fence near the hotel, and the clerk was instructed to see Mr Jones in_the matter. Accounts amounting to
