She was brought to a berth at No. 7 jetty at 7 a.m. to discharge about 1500 tons of cargo. It is expected that she will leave for Dunedin on Saturday. She will proceed theneb to Sydney to load wool for London. The ; s.s. Star of New Zealand, from Liverpool, via Auckland and Wellington, which anchored in the stream on Wednesday evening, was brought within the moles at 5.45 .a.m. yesterday and berthed ait No. 3 jetty, to put opt 400 tons of cargo. She is expected to leave here about noon to-day for Dunedin, where she is to finish discharging. ‘ The New Zealand and African steamer Rippingham Grange, now at Auckland, will not arrive at Wellington on Saturday as was anticipated. A weak spot has been discovered’in the vessel’s tail shaft, which will necessitate repairs in Auckland. The steamer willy leave Auckland for Wellington on Tuesday next. - The s.s. Mararoa, from Wellington, entered within the moles at 8 a.m. yesterday. The g.«. Woollen left at 6.10 a.m. yesterday ■with a cargo of coal for Kaiapoi. Cable advice has been received that the Shaw-Savill Company’s s.s. Corinthio left Plymouth on Saturday for Wellington, via Cape Town and Hobart. Wainni, has gone to Dunedin to take charge of the s.s. Pateena, which is due here to-morrow. Mr Young, late chief officer of the Wainui, has gone also to headquarters; for orders. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Turakina arrived at Wellington at 1010 a.m. on Wednesday. The vessel left London on September 6, and Plymouth on September 8.
